For granted

Look around you. What do you see? The same old people? Things? Now close your eyes. Say, I were to take everything in your room, away from you. Everything in your life, away from you and replace it with perhaps, some new stuff. How do you feel about that? Good, eh?

No, not really.
Around you are a bunch of familiar things that you take for granted, each day. Around you are the people, that you take for granted, every now and then. Why do you do it? Because they've always been there? Or perhaps, because a part of you believes that they will always be there? Well, okay. I guess I'm gonna stop beating around the bushes and get to the point.
If you're sitting in your room, all by yourself thinking no one cares about you, that no one would even notice your absence, that you're, as I may quote, "useless". Then I have news for you. You're not alone. It may seem that way. But it's not. Take, for example: your parents. Now, I dont mean to go all lyrical on you but honestly, haven't they always been there? Despite your peurile behaviour and your rage? So do it for them. Be a better man, for them. Because I don't know about others in your life, but I do know that your absence would kill your parents. Don't take them for granted.
Don't take anyone for granted. They may pretend to be okay with it. But they're not. No one is, come to think of it.
Because your life wouldn't be the same, if I were to take away a few things from it.
