Why be an atheist, they ask. To which I reply, why not.
Why believe in a superficial force which is said to be hiding in the clouds? Do we not have real things to believe in?
To be honest, I don't think that 80% of the people who claim to be theists are so. I think that they're just people who just need things. Who think that 'praying' to god will help them achieve their goals. Well, believe you me. It isn't. They're people who are too lazy to find an ultimate truth about man's existence. They're people who just need someone to blame and when they find no one, they blame the superior source. They're people who think that it's better to believe in something rather than believing in nothing. After All, that might upset 'god' i.e if he even exists. Now I don't mean to offend any of you. For, I know that many of you pretend to believe in god.
But seriously, WHY do we need to depend on some ultimate source to show us our path? WHY can't we make our own destiny?
Is it okay for 'god' to overlook the fact that 5 year old children are being raped? That we're practically scared to move out of our house thinking we may never return? That people are being murdered for money? Where in bible is that declared as fine? Did 'god' ask them be pure evil no reason whatsoever? Um..I don't think so.
Its we who do things. We're not puppets of god, if he even exists. Why be an atheist they ask. To which I reply, why be a theist.
