Façades

For those of you who don't know what the word actually means, here: 'a dressing to cover up something unpleasant'. But that's just its literal meaning. Coming onto practicality, its something we all possess, something we all use. Yes, you too.

All our lives we mold ourselves into something that people want us to be. We shape our appearances, our accents, our personality, everything. It isn't something we like doing, right? But we do it anyway. Why? Because we wanbecause of these stereotypes that people spend half their lifetime trying to be someone they're not. And later, being judged for it. Its not a fair world, whether you're rich or poor, black or white, thin or fat, you WILL be judged. And in my opinion, its better to be judged for who you are than to be judged for someone you're pretending to be. So go ahead, take that façade of yours off because its not gonna earn you many points. Be who you are because at the end of the day, who you are IS who you wanna be. You're perfect. All of you.t to be liked. Because we've all been told that if we act in a particular way, we can get people to like us. We think that society is the root cause for it but aren't we the ones comprising the 'society'? We're all judgmental. We all judge people on the basis of something or the other. More often than ever we judge people without even knowing their story. Without knowing what caused them to be the way that they are.

Fat people splurge money on trying to get thin, somehow anyhow. They diet, they gym, they get weird surgeries done in order to look attractive. People born with a dark complexion try on every method that they can to have a fair complexion. Lemme ask you this, who said that only thin and fair people are attractive? That people who don't look like Victoria Secret's angels and Calvin Klien's models are going to be anathemised? Its because of these stereotypes that people spend half their lifetime trying to be someone they're not. All of you.
